Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Very near to the Wagner and other museums and the park. Within the Old town, 10 minute walk from the centre. about a mile from the Central train station. A half an hour walk to the Festspiele (or a 305 bus from Luitpoldplatz, 10 min away from the flat). Modern apartment, sufficient space for two people. Comfortable bed, with two duvets. :) Clean, and there was a bottle of beer in the fridge. Communication from the Sali management to us was efficient, if impersonal.

Negative: The kitchen cupboards are VERY high - we needed to use the chair to get some things out. When I asked for a cafetière (I don't like to use the pods and the Melita filter ceramic dripper had no base I could find), I received no reply whatsoever, despite the offer "if there's anything you need, let us know". (Even a "sorry, don't have one" would have been better than nothing.) The metal grid in front of the house entrance is very slippery when wet - my husband slipped on it and hurt himself. There are no instructions on where the rubbish bins are and what recycling is expected. (Though there is a box for "empties" in the hall cupboard) A bit bizarre to have dishwasher tabs in a flat with no dishwasher...
