Positive: Purkersdorf is a small town with a nice town center: good coverage of cafes, restaurants, the supermarket was good and they had a Libro for paper, books and other supplies for a child. Going to the center of town from the property takes 10 minutes on foot on a small street with relatively little traffic and lots of trees. We particularly enjoyed our visit to the Naturpark Purkersdorf that had a very nice playground for children, and enclosures for goats + sheep and donkeys. Also the bridges over the small river are very nice 🥰 Pay attention when going to Vienna, I didn't do the full research to understand the price model, but I noticed that travelling by S-Bahn only, even when changing trains, is about half the price of a travel plan that includes e.g. the tram. With the S-Bahn we paid some 5 EUR for 2 adults + one 2 year old. Very good connectivity from the train station across the road to Wien Westbahnhof.

Negative: It would have been awesome to have some place to store the stroller downstairs so we wouldn't need to carry it upstairs all the time 😊
