Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Loved the location, decor and calmness of the hotel. The staff were very friendly!

Negative: I suppose especially as a solo traveler (but would feel the same in a group) - there was nowhere to just ‘be’ in the evenings. I always like low pressure lobbies that are mixed with bars. But the lobby here had a sofa but more like a reception area and it would be awkward to read there. Then the associated bar was a bit formal and awkward if you are alone or even in a crowd waiting. The coffee shop area was perfect for that but closed at 17:00. It wasn’t a big deal as the rooms were so nice but I would have bought about 4 times the drinks if there was a comfy evening area and some vegan snacks anywhere ! Like I had to go get takeout. There were 17 sweet options at the coffee shop and not one vegan option (banana bread is easily made plant based and you don’t have to market it as such). Same with the bar snacks: no olives / hummus / nuts - just charcuterie and cheese.
