This our family s slice of heaven in both summer and winter that comfortably accommodates two families, with 4 bedrooms. We searched for the perfect quiet mountain retreat and found it in Hochkrimml (Gerlosplatte in the Zillertal Arena) at 1,700m with the best snow quality and prepared pistes.
Views front and back from the this penthouse position both up the ski slopes and across the valley to the other mountain range, give a huge sense of space. The location is directly out onto the piste and mountain hikes.
The Duxeralm restaurant is next door with a great apres ski atmosphere. Inter Sport ski rental and shop is also next door and the Ski school is accessible in a few minutes by foot.
Modern comforts with traditional Alpine designs including wild oak floors and furniture, bespoke dining table, cow hide rugs, slate tile bathrooms plus a private sauna are some of the features that allow you to relax and truly enjoy your perfect mountain experience.

You can ski in and a short 50m walk up to the Duxeralm 4 seater lift connects to the 12/13 easy runs and fun off piste on the Gerlospatte. At 1700m and part of a Schnee Winkel, the snow quality is phenomenal. You can connect via cable car to the vast Zillertal Arena. The next mountain is Koeningsleiten, and then onto the Isskogel directly in the Gerlos area, and then Zell am Ziller. Your ski pas covers the ski bus home if you have skied too far in one day!

For those not so keen on downhill skiing there is a 5 km cross country loop accessible by foot from the apartment. Snowshoeing, sledge riding, ice skating, or a cosy horse-drawn sleigh ride are all possible and can be organised and booked locally.
