Positive: - Very welcoming host, we were even gifted a huge bottle of wine (we're very grateful and surprised, thank you!) - Nice location in the city center (with a few caveats, see below). There are shops nearby, lots of activities, etc. (including large botanical park) - Large historical building, gives a nice feeling in general - There's a small kitchen with all the necessary utensils - Two bathrooms and a washing machine - Two large balconies with great view (it was cold, so unfortunately we did not use those much) - The building is located on a cozy street with friendly cats (be aware that they might try to sneak into the house though!)
Negative: There are just a few problems: - Pillows are super uncomfortable. We were offered a replacement pillow but it does not really help me much, I had to use a micro-pillow from the sofa - Internet connection randomly becomes super-slow (was a problem for me as I'm working remotely) - Sound protection is poor and unfortunately it's noisy. I understand there's not much to be done about this but with all honestly I had very bad sleep. There's some night club or bar that plays loud music until 1-2am (not every day). In the night some annoying dogs keep barking literally for hours. Plus, there's a large construction site on the mountain side that the windows are facing, and they start working at 7-8am... So yeah, it's a bit problematic. But all in all, it's a good place for the asked price.
