Apartment Sonnberg Top 10 provides *Ski In-Ski Out* with direct access to the ski school beginners assembly area, slope and over 150 kms of Europe’s finest ski slopes.
The chalet is located on the 2nd floor, with a lift. It features two double bedrooms each with views (beds 180cmx200cm). The combined living area and adjoining kitchen are designed to take in the panoramic views of the Hochkönig.
The fully appointed kitchen has all you could need including a fan assisted oven, electric cook top, combi microwave/ grill oven, combined fridge/freezer, dishwasher and all electrical appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine. The living area of the apartment is furnished with rich soft and luxurious leather and limed oak furnishings. The relaxation area has a large L-shaped leather sofa (pulls out to sleep two additional guests) and flat screen digital cable TV, wireless internet, and DVD/sound.
The large bathroom has a deep bath and separate walk-in shower with rainshower plus massage shower connection—plenty of room for two! With large heated towel rail, dimmer assisted lighting.
The Dienten Mountain Resort offer a large sauna wellness area including infra-red cabin, guest coin operated laundry, secure boot, and ski storage rooms. On the ground floor is a large common room including pool and football tables, cable TV - a perfect place for groups of guests to gather.
The house is serviced by its own mountain spring giving you healthy fresh mineral water direct from the tap.
The dedicated parking space for Top 10 is located right at the front door with the free ski bus stop directly outside the house—if you prefer not to ski the short distance to the major lifts.
A dedicated House Manager is located next door and will be on-site to greet you. Mrs Burgschwaiger (Nellie) will also take your breakfast bread orders and deliver these fresh to your room each morning.
*Dienten*
The village of Dienten is located at at 1170m above sea level, in the centre of the Hochkönig valley. Dienten has everything you need for a vacation and most of it within walking distance from the apartment.
Located in town, you will find a variety of cafés, bars and traditional restaurants, all of which offer Austrian and Alpine specialities.
The town amenities include a supermarket, bank/cash machine, tourist office, bakery, newsagent/tobacconist and the sports and rental shop – Porti Sport. The village and the Hochkönig region host various cultural events all year long.
*Winter*
Apartment Sonnberg Top 10 is the perfect location to explore Dienten and the surrounding Hochkönig Valley. In the heart of the snow-sure valley, the Dienten area allows you to ski in either direction. In under 3 minutes you can ski to the centre of town or travel east to Mühlbach or west to Maria Alm – 150 kilometres of groomed pistes.
Alternatively, you can also explore the entire Ski Amade region—your lift pass gives you access to four more great ski regions within a 40-minute drive.
For parents, Apartment Sonnberg Top 10 at Dienten Mountain Resort is your dream ski vacation. Just outside your front door is the baby piste and lift, the main beginners slope for the area. The ski school offices are located directly across the road.
The on-site ski and boot rooms allow you to walk on and off the piste direct to the dedicated ski and boot storage of the house.
*Summer*
Summer in the Hockönig area is special. Whether you come early in the Spring and watch the valley come alive with fields ablaze with colour, or in high Summer for Mountain exploring and alpine hut dining. Dienten is perfect to enjoy the amazing mountain scenery and the area is popular for hiking, walking, biking. There are easy walks and for the more adventurous, serious climbs up the Hochkönig.
Also, the drive from Maria Alm to Bischofshofen is one of the most scenic alpine routes in Salzburgerland.
In summer, there are plenty of Alms and Huttes open on the surrounding hillsides to walk to and enjoy their local fare, a beer or soft drink. Many of the Alms also feature music and other events over the summer season. We recommend visiting the Grueneggalm.
Or come in mushroom and forest fruit season and feast on wild strawberries and blueberries straight from the forest or hunt your own Funghi Porcini.
In early Autumn, the valley celebrates the harvest “Bauern Herbst” and the forests begin to put on their colourful show, local restaurants serve up fresh game, fresh pressed wines and peak fruits and vegetables.
